East African star Zuchu has released a new patriotic song titled “Oktoba Tunatiki”, a high-energy Bongo Flava song that references national unity and political celebrations. Born in Zanzibar and the daughter of taarab legend Khadija Kopa, Zuchu has become one of the most popular female artists in Africa and a major player in Tanzanian contemporary music.

The record, released on July 30, 2025, is part of the cultural preparations for Tanzania’s October 2025 General Elections. More than just music, “Oktoba Tunatiki” is a message of support for President Samia Suluhu Hassan and her continued leadership under the CCM banner.
Zuchu’s career, which was officially launched in 2020 with her EP “I Am Zuchu”, has broken streaming records on Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube. “Oktoba Tunatiki” confirms her role as an artistic force with influence that extends beyond entertainment to the national conversation.
