Mercy Nnenda Chinwo, born on September 5, 1991, in Rivers State, Nigeria, is a renowned Nigerian gospel musician, singer, actress, and songwriter. Rising to fame as the winner of the second season of “Nigerian Idol” in 2012, Mercy Chinwo’s exceptional talent propelled her into the gospel music limelight. In 2017, she signed with EeZee Conceptz, a move that marked the beginning of a series of successful gospel releases.

Mercy Chinwo’s musical journey began at a young age, with her participation in her church’s children’s choir. She pursued her education at Goodwill International School, Paradise International School, and later earned a degree in Human Resources Management from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI). Her debut single, “Testimony,” was released in 2015, followed by the hit “Excess Love” in 2018.
Married to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa since August 13, 2022, Mercy and her husband reside in Lagos, Nigeria, and welcomed their first child in 2023. In addition to her music career, Mercy Chinwo co-founded the MercyisBlessed Foundation, which focuses on supporting the less privileged and youth development.
