Singeli superstar Meja Kunta joins forces with Billnass to release a new patriotic song titled “Tanzania“. Out on September 3, 2025, the song captures the heartbeat of the streets, bringing together Singeli’s raw tempo and the power of rap to create a national anthem.

Born in 1999 in Dar es Salaam, Meja Kunta is one of the fastest-growing stars in Tanzanian music. Growing up in a Muslim household, he was once celebrated for his football skills before switching gears to music. His journey began at a high school talent show where his Singeli performances quickly caught the eye. Encouraged by his peers, he pursued a career in music, releasing songs that rocked Tanzania’s dance floor.
Today, Kunta is the face of Singeli, with chart-topping hits such as Mapenzi, Shori, Jiti Limemchoma, and Mamu. His latest collaboration with Billnass, one of the country’s most respected rappers, represents not just music—but a voice of unity, youth, and cultural pride.
