Bien Aime Baraza, born on December 28, 1987, is a celebrated Tanzanian vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist, best known as a member of the renowned soul group Sauti Sol. A versatile artist, Bien has gained widespread acclaim for his exceptional vocal skills and songwriting prowess. He completed his studies in Journalism and Media Studies at the United States International University (USIU) in 2011.

Since joining Sauti Sol in 2006, Bien has been instrumental in the band’s success, contributing to their transformation from an a capella group into a leading Afro-pop sensation across Europe and Africa. His career with Sauti Sol has been marked by numerous chart-topping hits, sold-out concerts, and international recognition, including a notable performance for former US President Barack Obama.

Despite not pursuing formal music education, Bien’s natural talent has propelled him to great heights. He has also written songs for popular Kenyan artists like Wendy Kimani and Elani. His solo projects include the well-received album “Bald Men Love Better,” featuring singles such as “Mbwe Mbwe” with Aaron Rimbui.
