Zuhura Othman Soud, popularly known as Zuchu, is a prominent Tanzanian singer and songwriter born on November 22, 1993, in Zanzibar. Zuchu is signed to the renowned WCB Wasafi record label and has become one of the leading female artists in East Africa. Her musical journey began at a young age, influenced by her mother, Khadija Kopa, a celebrated Taarab musician. Zuchu’s father, Othman Soud, was also involved in the music industry before becoming a police officer.

Zuchu’s rise to fame began in 2020 with the release of her debut EP, I Am Zuchu, which features the hit single “Wana.” Produced by Lizer Classic, “Wana” is a Bongo Flava track that showcases Zuchu’s unique vocal style and lyrical prowess.
