Zuhura Othman Soud, professionally known as Zuchu, is a Tanzanian singer and songwriter born on November 22, 1993, in Zanzibar. Signed to WCB Wasafi, Zuchu quickly rose to fame in the Bongo Flava genre, becoming one of the most influential female artists in East Africa. She made her debut in 2020 with the EP I Am Zuchu, which includes hits like “Raha.” Zuchu’s unique blend of Bongo Flava and traditional Baibuda sounds, coupled with her captivating voice, has earned her numerous awards and recognition across Africa.

Zuchu comes from a musical family, being the daughter of the renowned Zanzibari Taarab musician Khadija Kopa.
