Mercy Nnenda Chinwo, born on September 5, 1991, in Rivers State, Nigeria, is a renowned Nigerian gospel musician, singer, actress, and songwriter. She rose to fame as the winner of the second season of the Nigerian music talent show, Nigerian Idol, in 2012. Her victory marked the beginning of a successful career in gospel music. Signed to EeZee Conceptz in 2017, Mercy Chinwo has released several impactful gospel songs and albums, establishing herself as a key figure in the Nigerian gospel music scene.

Educated at Goodwill International School and Paradise International School, Mercy Chinwo pursued a degree in Human Resources Management from the International Business Management Institute (IBMI). She began her musical journey at age 6 in her church’s children’s choir.
Mercy married Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa on August 13, 2022, in Port Harcourt, and they reside in Lagos, Nigeria. The couple welcomed their first child in 2023. In addition to her musical career, Mercy and her husband founded the MercyisBlessed Foundation in 2023, focusing on charitable work and youth development.
